Israeli Navy Intercepts Iranian Weapons Sent to Terrorists

by Touchpoint Israel

On March 5th, the Israeli navy intercepted a ship carrying Iranian weapons bound for Egypt. Intelligence officials believe the weapons were intended to be smuggled into Gaza through Egypt, where they would have been delivered to the terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Israel confiscated the weapons cache that contained 40 rockets, 180 mortar shells, and 400,000 bullets. Iran has officially denied any involvement, however, a source within Israeli intelligence claims that Israel routinely uncovers Iranian arms smuggling attempts.
