The Scarlet South Festival takes place every weekend in February, giving Israelis a chance to enjoy the fields of red anemones in bloom. Free tours through the Reim Recreation Area and Ruhama Forest are open to the public. Amazingly, this lush display of spring wildflowers blooms in the northwestern portion of the Negev.
