Hanging Gardens in Tel Aviv

by Touchpoint Israel

Once again, Israel astounds the world with innovative plans for a new kind of hanging garden. The city of Tel Aviv plans to build a roof over one of the busiest highways in the metropolis, and plant a 60-acre park on the roof.

Plans for the park include walking and biking trails, gardens, and coffee shops! It is the largest municipal project ever undertaken in Israel, and will cost approximately $525 million to complete. Several hurdles remain before the project is approved and ready to begin. Construction is expected to start in three years.

The video is an artist’s rendering of how the completed project will look.
