Israeli Air Force Museum is a must-see

by Touchpoint Israel

The Israeli Air Force Museum is one of the must-see attractions in the BeerSheba / Negev desert area – and it’s no surprise this plane-packed museum is a huge hit on Independence Day!

The museum is located at the Hatzerim base, just outside Beersheba, and shown below on the map.

The museum was established in 1977 and has been open to the public since 1991.

At the Israeli Air Force Museum you can catch a fairly huge collection of airplanes and helicopters, some of which are open for exploration by the public! You’ll also get a chance to see some videos telling the history of the air force, and various ongoing exhibitions. If you’re lucky, you might also get to see the working fire truck, which the kids will love to get a spraying from!

There are plenty of parking spaces in this huge complex, and also English guided tours. Kids aged 3-13 will pay 20 shekels entrance, everybody else gets to pay 30 shekels.
